Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information BrickROI collects, why we collect it, who processes it for us, and the rights you have. We are a Canadian company and we follow the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
1. What we collect
- Account data. Your name and email address when you create an account or join a waitlist.
- Deal data. The properties, numbers, scenarios, and notes you enter, and your conversations with the Deal Mentor.
- Payment data. Handled by Stripe. We see your plan, billing status, and the last digits of your card. We never see or store your full card number.
- Usage data. Pages visited, features used, device and browser type, collected through cookies and analytics tools.
- Messages. Emails you send us and form submissions you make on this site.
2. How we use it
- To run the service: compute your analyses, store your deals, generate your reports.
- To bill you and manage your subscription.
- To send service emails, such as trial reminders and billing confirmations.
- To send marketing email you signed up for. Every marketing email has a one-click unsubscribe.
- To understand how the product is used so we can improve it.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. AI providers
Your deal inputs and conversation messages are sent to Anthropic or Google for AI-generated analysis. These providers process the data to return the analysis to you. We do not permit them to use your data to train their models under our agreements with them.

Some of these providers store data outside Canada, mainly in the United States. Where they do, the data is protected by contract and by each provider's security program.
5. Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, and analytics and advertising cookies (Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel) to measure how the site and our ads perform. You can block cookies in your browser. The app's sign-in cookie is required for the app to work.
6. How long we keep data
- Account and deal data: for as long as your account exists. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize it within 90 days, except records we must keep for tax and accounting law.
- Billing records: 7 years, as Canadian tax law requires.
- Waitlist and marketing emails: until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
7. Your rights
Under PIPEDA you can:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy.
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong.
- Withdraw consent to marketing at any time.
- Ask us to delete your account and personal data.
- Complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you believe we have not handled your data properly.

8. Security and breach notification
We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege practices. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and report it to the Privacy Commissioner as PIPEDA requires.
9. Children
BrickROI is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will email account holders and update the "Last updated" date above.
